Bird City was founded on September 30 2023 and has since received a rapid expansion and currently has an estimated population of six people. The city was the Capital of Arland and was a cultural hub for the country, along with a “different” way of doing things, earning it the unofficial motto of “Bird City is Crazy.”
After Arland went defunct, the city was given back to the United States until November 2023 when the micronation was re-established as Filikigi

History
Bird City was first a settlement by some unknown people in 1960. Later, the area was founded as the original country of Arland, in 2023. Due to the country’s rapid expansion, the country soon needed a functioning capitol and cities, in which the area became the capital. Later, the city's land was given back to the United States until November 2023 when it was brought back and established as Filikigi's capitol.
Government
Bird city is run by both Filikigi's government and it's own city government which is a representative democracy.
